CT Art & Graphic Design Studio
JT Art & Design is the identity for a multi-faceted art and print design studio located in the greater Naugatuck Valley that serves individuals, small businesses, corporations and non-profits throughout Connecticut (live caricatures and design) and southern New England including parts of Southern New Hampshire, as well as eastern parts of New York State, and northern NJ (live caricatures), as well as online commissions* all over the US.
The studio specializes in popular, live caricature entertainment for family reunions, corporate events, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, birthdays, high school and college events, Grand Openings, fundraisers and just about any event or celebration you can imagine, including 30 weddings in 2023 alone. Other artwork includes custom traditionally hand-drawn (on heavy paper/ paper board stock) or digitally hand-drawn illustration, as well as specialization in people and animal portraits, house portraits, and caricature commissions from photos (often via email transactions). In addition, customers can order items created from this art, and or as part of a package for events over 3 hours, in the form of custom personalized caricature products, including stationery, apparel, favors and more.

Since 2017, you can purchase many items directly on-line at ETSY*, listed as “JTPortraicatures”. This includes most of her current commission offerings, plus maybe a few things not reflected here. Custom orders including pet memorial cards, and other options may be created…feel free to ask and it can likely happen!
In addition, the studio can provide creative design and graphics for area small business and sole proprietors perhaps in need of a logo, or some visual marketing help. Judy will lend her talent and knowledge to help you promote your product or service creatively and professionally, be it for flyers, mailers, print ads, billboards, posters or digital display media use. From concept to completion, or at any stage in between, she will provide personalized service, without the large agency cost.
Mac-based, with experience with design graphic software Adobe Creative Suite, artistic ability, innate creativity and long-time design experience, your expectations will be met. With proficiency in photo retouching and collage work, Judy can work some magic with your photos or create special custom imagery, containing text, quotes, etc.

About the Artist/Designer
Judy Tourangeau, artist and graphic designer, having drawn her whole life, has over two decades of diverse graphic design and art direction experience both as a full-time employee of Fairfield and New Haven County agencies, marketing firms, and printing/ creative companies and on the client side at an area hospital part-time…essentially her “first chapter”. Her many years of work within these companies and facilities provided her with invaluable knowledge of traditional aspects of design, and methods of print production and printing processes. Though she has shifted her focus to commission and live caricature gig work in recent years, her “second chapter” , she enjoys design and will gladly take one off design pieces, small products or image and retouching work.
In her leisure time, she has sung in a choir, loves live music, live theater performances, beaches, travel, bicycling, treasured time and memories made with friends and family, and keeping life fun, exciting and interesting — preferably not all work and no play! That said, her creative art work is not really “work” at all.
