In addition, working from the new art custom personalized caricature products, including stationery, apparel, favors and more can be ordered.
Judy decided a few years ago to expand beyond people and pet portraits and added homes (or other buildings) to her offerings. Since then, she has created a few of these and is encouraged at the prospect of doing more for happy homeowners wanting to display their picture postcard worthy estate or even their humble abode! Or, for real estate professionals looking for great client gifts, give us a call!
About the Owner
Judy Tourangeau, owner of JT Art & Design, has over two decades of diverse graphic design & art direction experience as an full-time employee of Fairfield and New Haven County agencies, marketing firms and printing & creative companies, and today runs and is growing her own studio business. She also recently worked part-time in a hospital design position specializing in health-care communications. Her many years of work within these companies provided her invaluable knowledge of traditional aspects of design, and methods of print production and printing processes. This has proven to be a tremendous asset today in conjunction with her independently acquired digital print design and production expertise.
In her various positions and in her own business, she either solely designed or was instrumental in the creation of a variety of communications pieces for non-profit, retail, consumer and corporate businesses over the years, often for budget-conscious clients with quick-turnaround needs. She holds a BFA in Graphic Communications from Paier College of Art in Hamden, Connecticut. She was a member of the Greater Waterbury and Naugatuck Chambers of Commerce, is a member of Arts & Culture Collaborative, Waterbury Region and is involved in online networking and social media, most notably a Facebook Page @ JT Art & Design and Pinterest, where you can see many more samples of her work, as well as LinkedIn.
Being a gifted artist, Judy sketches live caricatures for all sorts of events, and has a pool of artists to choose from when more than one is needed, or if she is unable to accommodate a request. She also creates “gift-quality” caricatures, people and pet portraits and house portraits from photos. She can also create simple line or digital illustration, and will explore styles further when opportunity arises.
In her leisure time, she sings in the Naugatuck Community Choir, enjoys music and theatre performances, and most things of an artistic nature, and is a former zumba aficionado (until she fell away, but hopes to get back to better, fun fitness!).
